How to swap tokens without KYC

A non-custodial DEX aggregator does not open an account in your name. XAUConnect does not ask for a passport to show a quote or to sign a swap. That is the whole KYC distinction versus a centralized exchange: no deposit account, no withdrawal questionnaire, no hosted wallet.

It is not invisibility. Every swap is public on the explorer. If you onboarded funds from a KYC exchange, that history already exists. “No KYC” means XAUConnect is not your identity vendor — not that the chain is private.

What you actually do

Connect a wallet you control. Swap. Disconnect if you like. We never take custody, so there is no hosted balance to freeze and no customer-support reset for a lost seed. Losing the seed is losing the funds. That is the trade for skipping KYC.

What still identifies you

On-chain addresses, timing, size, and any CEX on-ramp or off-ramp. WalletConnect peer metadata. RPC providers see IP traffic. If you need privacy beyond “no account at this DEX,” that is a different discipline (new wallets, careful funding) and not something a swap UI should pretend to sell.

Compliance we will not fake

Some tokens and regions are restricted by law. A DEX interface can still refuse to display or build certain routes. No-KYC is not a promise that every asset is available to every person. It is a description of custody.

Practical swap steps remain the same

Right chain, verified contracts, gas buffer, minimum received, exact approvals on EVM, simulation on Solana. Scammers specifically target “no KYC” searchers with fake sites. Type the URL. Bookmark it. We will never DM you a seed phrase.

When a CEX is still the right tool

Bank off-ramps, native BTC, and customer recovery all live on KYC rails. Use them when you need them. Use XAUConnect when you want to trade tokens you already hold in a wallet, across seven chains, without depositing to us.

Phishing is the KYC you did not want

Search ads for “no KYC swap” are a favorite for lookalike domains. Bookmark xauconnect.com. We will not telegram you a seed backup. We will not ask you to type 12 words to “enable non-custodial mode.” A connected wallet is a public address plus signature requests. If you funded that wallet from a KYC exchange, the exchange already knows the withdrawal. No-KYC here means we are not a second identity vendor — not that you became invisible.

Self-custody has no password reset

The cost of skipping KYC is that nobody at XAUConnect can restore a seed, reverse a send, or freeze a thief. Write the recovery phrase offline before the first swap, not after. Accountless is powerful and unforgiving. That is the honest trade.

Do I register an email?

Not to swap. Quotes work without connecting. Connecting shares a public address, not an identity document.

Can XAUConnect freeze my tokens?

No. We do not hold them. A token contract with pause/blacklist functions could freeze you — that is the issuer, not us. Prefer tokens without those hooks.

Is this anonymous?

No. It is accountless and non-custodial. Block explorers are public.
